Today was our last day in Virginia Beach. Here are the photos from today along with some from our long, and painful, ride home.
Virginia Beach Day 2
We took a VERY long ride on a rented surrey this afternoon. We almost didn’t make the whole trip. Here are our photos along the “boardwalk”, including some of the 34 foot tall statue of Neptune. (really cool up close)
Virginia Beach Day 1
After Beth and Brian’s house, we drove southeast a bit to check out Virginia Beach. The kids loved the mini water slides at the hotel.
We ate at a fun Mexican place called “Cancun Fiesta” and saw a cool comedian/ventriloquist, sword juggler and fire dancer on the boardwalk.
Virginia trip
We took an impromptu trip to visit Beth, Brian and the girls in Virginia this weekend.

Early Birthday Presents
An early birthday present arrived in the mail today for Melayna from Nana and Pop-pop Pettigrew. She was so excited she had to open them right away.

Melissa linked me to this Last Comic Standing clip. I think this guy has a bug in our house. 
Cookies
Melissa and the kids made cookies with all kinds of colored cookie dough this afternoon.
Duck Paint
Just a few photos of Melayna happily painting a duck thing that she got somewhere with Melissa. Later, she decided to paint spots on parts of the carpet in the hall upstairs.
