Brayden was really really good at Melayna’s Dr appointment this evening (ear infection), so I got him a Happy Meal. We left the kitchen for 2 minutes to get something from the office, and Melayna managed to get up on the table, grabbed his strawberry shake, flipped over the half wall into the family room, and positioned herself in “shake drinking” mode on the back of the sofa. She’s fast…too fast.

Logan finished his Flat Stanley project tonight. Stanley’s trip was a visit with Aunt Beth, Uncle Brian, Taylor, Madeline & Alexandra in Virginia with a few trips to Washington D.C. Logan’s teacher said he gave an excellent presentation about all the places Stanley visited.

Today is Logan’s birthday. We all went to see him play basketball, he’s getting really good.

After we all got home from the party, Logan opened his gifts. He’s very lucky to have so many nice friends.

We had Logan’s party this afternoon at Velocity Sports. There were 26 boys going crazy, playing football, running relays, eating cake and having a great time.

Logan worked on his Flat Stanley project for school this evening while Melayna and Bray worked on scribbling all over paper in the office.

Logan and Patrick did their homework this afternoon on the surfboard table in the basement. I couldn’t get a good photo because Logan kept acting like a loon.

While I was away in Dallas, Melissa had my old desk and file cabinets ripped out of the office and new ones installed. It’s really nice. I need to take more photos…

This weekend, I flew to Minneapolis where I was met by my college buddy Matt at the airport. We boarded a plane to Dallas to surpirse our friend Mike when he got home from work. We all turned 40 within a few weeks of one another, and Mike’s wife suggested that we have a guys’ weekend as a suprise for Mike, and a getaway for ourselves. Fantastic idea!

Saturday night, we went to see the Reverend Horton Heat show at the Granada Theater. The weekend was a ton of fun, Mike was surprised, and we had a blast just hanging out with no plans except to see the show. It was the first time we’d all been together in 10 years. I can’t wait to do it again.
