Today Nana and Pop-pop Pettigrew came over again to hang out with us.

After they had to go back to Pop-pop Oettel’s house, Melissa went to her 20th Year High School Reunion.

Here are the pics from the daytime…

and here are the pics from the HS Reunion into the wee hours of the morning of the 29th.

Not really a couch potato, but how else could I title these two pics?

Telemarketing scum

Posted on November 19, 2008 at 5:48 pm in

This number called my cell phone today. 1-866-667-4421

So it’s begun, the need to get even cell phones on the Do Not Call Registry. I know my friends in the UK have been dealing with this sort of garbage for years, but it’s the first time I’ve had this kind of call to my cell phone.

Sure is nice to know these idiots will be chewing up my cell plan minutes now.

UPDATE: I called Verizon Wireless to ask if there was any way to block them, or to get the 2 minutes back on our plan (not that that’s important) and they were really great and helpful. The Verizon rep gave me the number to call to formally complain to the FTC (877-FTC-HELP) , and dropped a bonus of 50 minutes into our account! How cool is that? Thanks Verizon! :)

UPDATE #2: The FTC says that unfortunately, it’s not illegal for telemarketer corps to call cell phones, no matter how annoying it is. Filing complaints with them does help to build the case against allowing it to continue though, since it costs consumers money just to accept a call in the USA. So, if you get a call from a telemarketer on your cell phone, don’t forget to complain politely.

Football stuff

Gavin’s team had a pizza party and awards ceremony this evening. He got a really nice trophy.

Logan’s team had their final game tonight in the freezing cold. The past weekend’s game was canceled due to weather, so they scrimmaged against Coach Ford’s team tonight to make up for it.

Bonfire

Logan had a game today, and this evening his team had a huge bonfire party. We all had a great time, and stayed until Melayna couldn’t keep her eyes open anymore.

Melissa’s college friend Katie was in town this weekend, and was able to stop by for an hour or so. We hadn’t seen her in 13 years!

Costume Party

We went to a great costume party this evening at Stacy and Matt’s house, just down the street. Out little couple theme was “Hot For Teacher” with Melissa as the teacher and me as…um…the nerd. What a surprise.

The party was great, we had a lot of fun.

Afterwards, Melissa continued on to Stan’s 40th birthday party. I continued on to snoring so much that my throat hurt the next morning.
