Once again this year, Melissa’s Mom and Dad came over to watch the kids so we could go to Tisha and Kenny’s party just down the street. The party was great, they rented a Karaoke machine that was pretty cool. Everyone brought tons of good food, and it was a nice way, as always, to ring in the new year.

Our old neighbors, Christie and Patrick, are back visiting family (and working) this week. Melissa hosted a big playdate at our house this afternoon so the kids could all hang out and the moms could catch up and hang out with Christie. Little Patrick and Jack are spending the night, the boys couldn’t be more excited.

We took a ride to visit Pop-pop, Aunt Joann and Uncle Rick today. Aunt Joann made giant Belgian waffles for lunch, which the kids all loved. When we got home we celebrated another night of Hanukkah.

The kids were up bright and early, rummaging through their stockings to see what stocking stuffers Santa brought them. Amazingly, they didn’t rip open any of the presents under the tree, or the ones that Santa left in front of the fireplace.
Santa brought the kids a nice new computer that we placed in the office at the 2nd workstation desk. They’re going crazy with the new toys, remote control cars, multiple sets of new PJs, new video came cartridges, puzzles, books, webkinz, movies etc. It’s been a really relaxed day, and we’re all having fun.

We spent most of Christmas Eve at Mary Jane & Steven’s house. We ate lasagna, exchanged gifts and had a really nice time. The kids all got right into the new PJs that they got from Mary Jane and Steven and went right to bed when we got home.

Tisha, Kenny, Olivia and Leah came over this evening to watch the game, hang out with the kids, eat lots of soup, and celebrate a night of Hanukkah with us.

Teresa threw a surprise 40th birthday party for John tonight. We drove over to their house with Tisha and Kenny and had a great time.
